Dear Harriet,

I have been looking at your website and noted the many photos in which you are portrayed grinning in the company of members of our vibrant ethnic communities. Anyone would think, to look at them, Britain already had a black-and-brown majority! I'm sure, like me, you hope it soon does -- you are obviously filled with joy to be in the presence of ethnics. But I'm puzzled that these joyous moments are so fleeting and few in your life. Why do you not choose to live permanently among non-whites in one of London's many enriched districts? And why have you not, as a gesture of unswerving anti-racist principle, resigned from the government and demanded that your post be filled by a Woman of Colour? Although you have triumphed remarkably over oppression to reach your present heights, you must surely agree that a Woman of Colour suffers even more and would be an even better champion of the fight against evils of the stale pale male.
